Dour Festival 2013: Reggae
How would it be possible to celebrate the 25th Dour Festival without some of the most prominent figures in reggae? It's the defining genre of the Sunday line-up, and the stars of the genre seem to want to keep on coming back to the festival. Thanks largely to the reception they are given by our dedicated and passionate crowd, they will once more be giving us the pleasure of their appearance to celebrate this 25th edition - such as the Sicilian with Jamaica in his soul and music, Alborosie.
Dour Festival 2013: The Vaccines
After a string of awesome electro, hip-hop, metal and rock confirmations, we are pleased to be able to reveal our first batch of indie names! So...to London first, with the fantastic group The Vaccines, presenting their second album The Vaccines Come of Age. Meanwhile, the Klaxons will be back, smothering the festival with their trance-pop (with or without Keira...). Darwin Deez will also be coaxing us into our dancing shoes, bringing his fresh pop and beautiful curls along with him.
Dour Festival 2013: Hip Hop And More
Action Bronson is the US hip-hop phenomenon of the moment, having collaborated with such leading figures as Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$ and Danny Brown. But it's with us that he will be spending Thursday 18th July for the inauguration of the new Boombox stage on the Plaine de la Machine à Feu.
Dour Festival 2013: Electronic Names
7 New names for the electronic line-up at the 25th Dour Festival. The line-up for the Red Bull Elektropedia balzaal is filling up! Simian Mobile Disco live, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Karenn live, Paul Woolford, Digital Mystikz (Mala + Coki), and a Camo & Krooked dj set feat. MC Youthstar, Salva have been confirmed for the electronica stages at Dour Festival.
Dour Festival 2013: Hardcore Names
After a triumphant 2007 festival, the kings of hardcore are back at Dour! CONVERGE, and their 10th album 'All We Love We Leave Behind', released in 2012, will be at the festival to give us a furious and energetic performance.
Dour Festival 2013: Mike Patton
Mike Patton has made any number of appearances at Dour Festival - with Faith No More, Fantômas, and Peeping Tom, for example. After he recently released the new Tomahawk album, it was impossible for us not to see if he wanted to come back and celebrate our anniversary with his supergroup, made up of Duane Denison (The Jesus Lizard, Unsemble), John Stanier (Battles, Helmet), and Trevor 'field mouse' Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantômas, etc.). This is an exclusive concert not to be missed - be at the Last Arena on Thursday 18th July!
